University/Geological Survey Transit Repairs
Brunton pocket transits/geological compasses are designed and manufactured to last a lifetime. However, students and survey geologists tend to be especially hard on the shared fleets of transits owned by their organization. Brunton is proud to continue a long heritage of repairing our professional compasses, but in 2020 the Conventional (F-2001, 2060, 2061) and International (F-5005, 5006) models were phased out. These models can no longer be repaired in batches, as we have very limited remaining parts.
Please see information above about our Transit Exchange Program if you have older transits that you'd like to upgrade.
Only current transit models (Axis, Geo, Standard, ComPro, and Tactical) are eligible for repairs in batches. Military M2s are not eligible for any repairs. Please visit our Repairs page for more details about initiating the repair process or go straight to the Repair Request Form linked below.
